  • Skilled writer and researcher, able to produce engaging text for a variety of formats and applications including websites, social media and marketing materials

  • Experience and proficiency in publicity and promotions, generating ideas and stories and acquiring media exposure

  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and address fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines

  • Proficient at creating and managing successful fundraising events that engage staff, volunteers and business

  • Confident execution of special events and programs that integrate the mandate and goals of the organization, from large gala concerts and dinners to small community fundraisers

  • Excellent grant and foundation writer with a strong successful track record

  • Flexibility and understanding of how to develop innovative approaches, communication goals and objectives based on external changes and new information

  • Enthusiasm and initiative with an ease to function effectively within a fast-paced atmosphere

  • Ability to work effectively with a content management system and manage a large website

  • Excellent relations with Boards of Directors and an understanding of the not-for-profit sector
